Every business needs a media kit. I will explain what it is and then break down what you’ll need to put it together.
MEDIA KIT DEFINITION
Essentially a media kit is a package of information that includes items such as the companies official name, bios of owners, history, photos, press releases and contact information. Sometimes it is located on a companies site, other times it is sent out to a reporter upon request. A company can also take the initiative to send it out to reporters to make them aware of the company or a contest and/or product launch. It’s a great way to quickly get your information out there. The media kit is also good for pitching potential sponsors.

Introduction
This section should be a synopses of your company and why you started it. Think of it as “your pitch.” Include any magazines or blogs your fashion truck has been featured in.

Awesome Photography of your Fashion Truck
I can’t stress this enough. If your bread and butter is the fashion truck and you don’t have pictures of the actual truck it makes it tough for the media to promote you. You paid good money to have that truck look beautiful…show it off. Also remember to have pictures of the inside of your truck along with your merchandise.
High Resolution File of Your Company Logo
Include a large printable file of your logo. Optimal 300dpi, but 150dpi isn’t bad. If you don’t have one request a high resolution file from your designer. You want to make sure that when displayed it looks crisp and as it should.
Products and Services
Discuss the events your truck frequents most often and the best way for people to find you. Highlight some of your best selling products and any upcoming new lines.
Also, if you offer services like private parties discuss the process and associated fees.
Package and Rates (depending on what you’re selling)
If you have a truck for services like makeup, hair or photography include your packages and rates.
Testimonials
Include glowing comments you’ve received from the media or your customers online.

If you get asked the same questions repeatedly think about including the questions and answers in your media kit.
Statistics

It is particularly helpful when trying to land a sponsor. If you just started think about include growth trends to highlight the progress you’ve made in a short period of time.
